OpenInfra Day at the Magyar Telekom Headquarters

The 2024 OpenInfra Days Europe conference in Budapest was a key event for anyone interested in open-source infrastructure. It brought together industry experts, developers, and leaders to discuss the latest trends in cloud solutions, containerization, and DevOps tools. This conference provided valuable insights into the technologies shaping the future of infrastructure.

free remote desktop connection

TeamViewer and AnyDesk are popular tools for remote desktop connections, offering easy access to your computer from anywhere. While both are free for personal use, they require payment for business purposes. To avoid these costs, you can set up a free remote desktop connection using Windows' built-in RDP service along with Dynamic DNS and a router-based VPN for secure, cost-effective access.

High-End PC Repair at StudioBis Architecture Office and Comprehensive Backup Solutions in Practice

A high-end designer PC malfunction at the StudioBis Architecture Office caused significant disruption to their work. I systematically identified the source of the issue and recommended a reliable local supplier for the necessary replacement parts. Additionally, I suggested two comprehensive backup solutions to ensure the protection of the company’s decades-old, irreplaceable Archicad design files.

Repairing an Andoer L4 Pro mini dolly

During preparations for a water polo tournament in Porec, Croatia, I encountered an issue with my Andoer L4 Pro mini dolly, which suddenly stopped charging properly. After ruling out external factors, I discovered a problem with one of the solder joints on the micro USB connector. Although I temporarily fixed it, the connector will likely need to be replaced to prevent future issues.

Gigabyte Brix mini PC repair

I once again came across a faulty Gigabyte Brix mini PC (GB-BPCE-3455). This device often suffers from power button issues. Upon disassembly, I protected the WiFi module and thoroughly cleaned the device. While the power button was not the issue this time, I discovered the BIOS battery was depleted, which led to unexpected problems. Replacing the BIOS battery resolved the issue, allowing Windows to function properly again.
